Ethiopian banks modernise core software

Ethiopia-based Co-operative Bank of Oromia, is seeking a new core banking solution. According to a source at the bank, the list of potential suppliers is now down to Infrasoft Technologies, Temenos and Oracle FSS.

Another Ethiopian Bank, Oromia International Bank (OIB), also intends to replace its legacy software with a third party core banking system. Oracle FSS, Temenos, Infrasoft have reportedly expressed interest in this project too, as well as Polaris Software, Neptune Software, SAB and Delta Informatique.
